In 1998 Martin Murrey was selected by the Art historian Richard Kendall to exhibit at the Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. In 1999 he had a successful exhibition at the Castlefield Gallery in Manchester. He has also appeared in a Television programme filmed by Canal Plus, France called 'Made in Manchester' which was broadcast in March 2000.
Martin Murrey has work in private and corporate collections and recently entered the collection of Reader's Digest in New York.
Martin Murrey exhibited at the Lowry Centre, Salford in a solo exhibition in October 2001 - January 2002.
Since the Lowry exhibition, Martin Murrey has completed a commission for Lancashire County Council of a series of four paintings, which are on display at Great Harwood library. In 2003 he had a successful exhibition at the Wendy J Levy Gallery in Manchester and has also taken part in Art Fairs in London and New York with the Philips Contemporary Art Gallery, Manchester.
In 2005 he had another exhibition at the Wendy Levy gallery and in 2006 took part in an exhibition 'Cities' at the Philips Contemporary Art Gallery in Manchester.
